Install Safe Exam Browser (SEB)

  1. Install Safe Exam Browser onto your laptop from the SEBIcon_40_2x.png SEB Download page, or from here: On MacOS, move the file to the Applications folder. Double clicking on it will start SEB with the default configuration.
    However, you will need SEB with the HUJI configuration. So...
  2. Download the HUJIhujiSEB configuration file: Double click on the SEB file to start SEB with the HUJI configuration.
    A popup will open:
    New settings have been saved,
    they will be used when you start SEB next time again.
    Do you want to start working with SEB or quit for now?
    Click on Quit to exit.

Connect to the WIFI

  • Ensure that your laptop is connected to the correct wireless network for the exam that you will be taking.
    Unless you have been instructed otherwise, you will be required to connect to the exams-test network.
    Authenticate to the exams-test network with username moodle_exams and password exams_moodle

Check that it works

  1. Set up your demo exam as follows::
    1. In any browser, on any computer, go to:
    2. Authenticate
  2. Now, begin the demo exam as follows:
    1. On your laptop, double click on the SEB file
    2. Authenticate as you usually do to Moodle
  3. After compleing the exam, exit SEB by resetting your laptop
If you correctly installed SEB and the SEB file
(and are connected to the exams-test network if you chose the first of the previous two links),
you will be taken straight to the demo exam
